How is 13th month pay computed?
Add up the basic salary you actually earned in the calendar year and divide by 12. Overtime, allowances and holiday premiums are not included unless your company says so.
When should I receive it?
Under PD 851, employers must pay it on or before December 24. Some companies split it in two, for example May and December.
I resigned or started mid-year. Do I still get it?
Yes, a pro-rated amount: your basic salary earned for the months you worked, divided by 12. Set the months slider to match.
Is 13th month pay taxed?
It's tax-free up to ₱90,000 combined with your other bonuses for the year. Only the amount above ₱90,000 is taxed.
