From Money Manager (.mmbak)
- 1In Money Manager, open Settings → Backup and export a backup file (.mmbak). Save it to your phone or computer.
- 2In Iponista, go to More → Import from another app → Money Manager backup, and pick the file.
- 3Review the preview: accounts, categories, transfers and balances. Adjust any balance to match your real one.
- 4Tap Import. If anything looks off, Undo restores everything exactly as it was.
Works with backups from Android and iPhone, including zipped backups. Accounts, categories, subcategories and transfers come across.
From Bluecoins, Wallet, Spendee, your bank or a spreadsheet (CSV)
- 1Export your data as CSV from your old app, bank or spreadsheet (most apps have an export or backup option in settings).
- 2In Iponista, go to More → Import from another app → CSV file.
- 3Match the columns: date, amount (or debit/credit), category, account and note. Iponista guesses them for you.
- 4Review the preview, then import. Duplicates are skipped and Undo is one tap away.
Handles DD/MM and MM/DD dates, Filipino month names, amounts with commas or in parentheses, and separate debit/credit columns.
Questions
Will I lose my old data?
No. Iponista only reads your export file; your old app stays untouched. You can keep both until you're comfortable.
Is importing free?
Yes. Importing is part of the free app, and you see a full preview before anything is saved.
Does my data get uploaded?
No. The file is read on your device and your records stay on your device.
What if my balances don't match?
In the preview you can type your real balance for each account, and Iponista adds the difference as an opening balance.
